So I thought I would submit my view because i reckon if I can handle the process ok, anyone with half an idea of how to follow instructions should be able to also. I was quite nervous going with Boost considering some of the bad reviews. My reason for choosing Boost was it’s the cheapest full Telstra coverage and outback/remote reception is for me, critical. Ive been with Telstra previously and I was very aware of what reception I was getting in different low power areas and it’s exactly the same using BOOST as Telstra. I note that others have had problems with SIMS not arriving, so I just purchased one from my supermarket for $2 to bypass that possibility.Īll in all NONE of the very negative posts about poor service & crappy app function have been my experience. To Activate my SIM I phoned Boost to make sure I got that right and my experience there was that my call was handled promptly and effectively (and very courteously as well).Ĭhoosing what plan I purchased was very simple and downloading and using the app has been easy and simple as well. I am near 70 years old, so no tech wiz here. It would be nice to have a widget I can add to the home screen, that would be my only request.Īll the issues that the people leaving enraged reviews have, all come down to user error. If you want to make automatic payments and didn’t choose to do so during activation, you will have to use the website and possibly create a boost ID, i’m not sure.Įither way I feel the main point of the app for most people will just be to check on their data usage and how many days left until recharge, and it does that just fine. If you choose to recharge in the app it will open a browser in-app, but that’s hardly a reason for a 1 star review. Just close out of that and your data usage and days left will be displayed. When you first open the app it will prompt you to log into a telstra account. If all you want to do is check your data usage and recharge then you don’t need to worry about either. Most of the complaints seem to be directed to the telstra login and boost ID. Sure, it’s not perfect, but it works just fine. I'm very sorry to hear about this experience with our network and customer service. I’am opting out hopefully get a refund but I will definitely be putting pressure on their necks. These guys really are crooks just take a look at the bad reviews regarding Boost. I asked for a supervisor which they danced around, I asked for the case to be escalated, again they danced around and eventually the signal was lost and the conversation gone! Trust me, don’t be misled by a polished sales pitch. The problem is during the day, night time is slow but achievable. I thought I had a simple problem how wrong could I be.
